Nate Long is the lead organizer for the Boston EdTech Meetup. With a longstanding interest in education, he hopes technology can improve learning for everyone. During the day, he works as a Software Engineer at HubSpot in Cambridge.

Alan Foster

Administrative Co-Organizer

Alan Foster was a co-organizer for the Boston EdTech Meetup and now sits on the board of directors for the Boston EdTech Foundation. He currently works out of the MIT Game Design Lab as the CEO of an augmented reality startup focusing on mixed reality publishing by creating seamless experiences between the physical world and digital content.

I’m the Digital Products Coordinator at MIT Press. That means I take an old idea of publishing and work with students and authors to combine it with new technology in ways that make that old idea new again. I live and work in Cambridge.

Pooja graduated from Babson College with her MBA and is currently working as a Product Manager for Examity. She is highly passionate about education and believes strongly that technology will change the way we learn! She has previously worked with the education eco-system in India, and has found that there are multiple ways to make a huge impact.

Robyn Belair

Event Organizer - Marketing

I design and build online and hybrid courses for undergraduate and graduate programs. By incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) core principles with user experience (UX) and accessibility concerns - in a pedagogical framework I've come to think as "learning experience design" (LX) - I partner with faculty and instructional librarians or other academic staff to develop a rigorous and engaging learning experience.

Peter Atwood is an adjunct instructor at the Boston Architectural College. He focuses on design technology education and researching new pedagogical models to better prepare future designers for the world of tomorrow. Educated as an architect, he is engaged in a variety of productive activities which explore the space between technology and information.

Chris Rosenbaum

Event Organizer - Partnerships

Chris has spent much of his career in the education and technology areas, in both early-stage and mature businesses. At companies such as Bertelsmann, Kaplan and Knewton, Chris’s roles have ranged from strategy and investing to operations and growth. Most recently, Chris co-founded ProductMaven to bring customer-centric practices to small and mid-market companies.

Yoo Eun Kim

A Smith College graduate, Yoo Eun currently serves as a Teach for America corps member in the Greater Boston Area. In her spare time, she works as a freelance writer. Her writings have been featured in The Chicago Tribune, EdWeek, and The Korea Times. Her interests are long-distance running and learning more about EdTech and VR/AR.

Eric Hilfer

Eric Hilfer serves Rosetta Stone as vice president of software engineering, overseeing language product engineering, quality assurance, and dev-ops. Eric joined Rosetta Stone in 2014 from Scholastic and Tom Snyder Productions, where he built the engineering organization that delivered an award-winning 30-product intervention suite for K-12 literacy and math.
